Decidi passar  as minhas pinturas e o meu arquivo de BDs 
para este blogue. 

Biografia:

Em Portugal desde 1970 e naturalizada portuguesa em 1975, esta artista plástica ecléctica pinta tanto em aguarela como acrílico e pastel, faz banda desenhada e ilustração, arranjos gráficos na edição de livros e revistas.

Catherine Labey nasceu em Évreux (França) a 8 de Setembro de 1945. Depois dos estudos no Secundário, frequenta o atelier de Hervé Hersant e depois a Escola das Belas Artes de Paris.
Começou a trabalhar em publicidade em Paris, mas depois fixou-se “no jardim à beira-mar plantado”.
Em Portugal, ela ilustrou livros para várias editoras e publicou bandas desenhadas em revistas da especialidade assim como em vários álbuns.
Voltou a pintar em 1994, sobretudo aguarelas – paisagens e retratos – mas também acrílicos sobre papel e sobre tela.
As suas obras estão presentes em várias colecções privadas, na Bélgica, Brasil, Inglaterra, França, Macau, Portugal e Suécia.

  • 1992 - « Bandes Dessinées d’Europe » CBBD, Bruxelas, Bélgica, onde se apresenta integrada na representação portuguesa.
  • 1995 - « Salão Internacional de BD de Sobreda » - Sobreda da Caparica, Portugal onde ela recebe o troféu autor do ano.
  • 1990 a 1995 - « Salon International de Amadora Cartoon» - Portugal.
  • 1996 – 1º Bienal «Prémio Cardoso Lopes de Pintura», Amadora - Portugal.
  • 1997 - Exposição colectiva de Pintura, Galeria do Hotel Albatroz, Cascais - Portugal.
  • 1998 - 2º Bienal « Prémio Cardoso Lopes de Pintura », Amadora - Portugal.
  • 1999 - Exposição da Cooperativa Desnud’Arte, Galeria Lagar do Azeite, Oeiras - Portugal.
  • 1999 - Exposição colectiva de Pintura, Galeria do Grande Hotel, Monte Estoril - Portugal.

Au Portugal depuis 1970 et naturalisée portugaise en 1975, cette artiste plastique éclectique peint aussi bien à l’aquarelle comme à l’acrylique ou au pastel, fait de la bande dessinée et de l’illustration, de la mise en page pour livres et revues

Catherine Labey est née à Évreux, en Normandie, le 8 septembre 1945. Après ses études secondaires, a fréquenté l’atelier d’Hervé Hersant, puis les Beaux-Arts de Paris.
Elle a commencé à travailler en publicité à Paris, puis s’est fixée « dans ce jardin planté au bord de la mer » (comme les Portugais aiment à appeler leur pays).
Au Portugal, a illustré des livres pour plusieurs maisons d’édition et publié des bandes dessinées dans des revues de la spécialité ainsi qu’en albums.
Se remettant à peindre en 1994, surtout des aquarelles - paysages et portraits - mais aussi de l’acrylique sur papier et sur toile et du pastel, sec ou gras.
Est représentée dans des collections particulières en Angleterre, Belgique, Brésil, France, Macao, Portugal et Suède.

  • 1995 - « Salon International de BD de Sobreda » - Sobreda da Caparica, Portugal où elle reçoit le trophée de l’auteur de l’année.

Biography:


Living in Portugal since 1970 and portuguese citizen since 1975, this eclectic artist paints as much in watercolors as in acrylic or pastel, make graphics novels, illustrations, graphic arrangements for books and magazines.

Catherine Labey was born in Évreux (France) on September 8th, 1945.
Following high-school, attended Hervé Hersant’s Academy of Arts and afterwards the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
In 1968, worked in the creative departments of several advertising agencies in Paris, then two years later moved to “the sea-side garden” (as Portuguese like to call their country).
Since then, has done book illustrations for several publishers and has published comic book stories and graphic novels for children in different magazines and albums.
Returned to painting in 1994, specializing in watercolors — landscapes and portraits — but also working acrylics on paper and canvas.
Represented in private collections in Belgium, Brazil, England, France, Macau, Portugal and Sweden.
